Stony Brook University is seeking an Electrical Engineer to work in the department of Campus Planning, Design and Construction (CPDC).  CPDC is responsible for;
  • Design and construction for all capital and locally funded projects.
  • Providing design services to the campus community.
  • Coordination and integration of construction and rehabilitation projects.
  • Oversight of projects to ensure conformance with bid documents and design drawings.
  • Ensure that all work is completed in compliance with building codes and SBU standards and directives.
  • Provide information and technical support to other departments about current and future projects.
Required Qualifications:  Bachelor’s degree (foreign equivalent or higher) in Electrical Engineering or within another closely related discipline. Five (5) years of full-time electrical engineering experience. Experience in preparation of electrical system designs, including but not limited to lighting, power distribution systems, high voltage, switchgear, transformer, and generator selection. Working knowledge of New York State building code and National Electric Code (NEC) to ensure proper electrical designs.
